Jacobs Trail, the Camino de Santiago or the St James Way; these are some of the many names for this famous pilgrim route. These days around 215,000 people either bike or walk this original route every year. Highlights include fantastic scenery, historic monuments and the lively cities of Pamplona, Logroño, Burgos, León, Astorga, Ponferrada and Santiago de Compostela. We will cycle through rolling hills on asphalted roads, from Pamplona to the stunning city of Santiago de Compostela (home to the cathedral where St. James is believed to be buried). For many, this may be a life changing experience, as the Camino de Santiago is all about enjoying the journey and soaking up the history of this famous trail. This trip is ideal for serious cyclists wanting a challenge, although recreational cyclists are welcome as the support bus is always available.
