Vermont On The River Inn Weekend Tour

This tour features two nights at the luxurious new On the River Inn, where every room has a private balcony overlooking the river, and where you enjoy country elegant decor, welcoming hosts and delightful seasonally-inspired dining. The biking is also a delight. Saturday takes us along the river's edge into Quechee where we can shop for crafts, pottery and exquisite glassware at Simon Pearce, and ride up to the spectacular Quechee Gorge. Our return takes us past the Taftsville Covered Bridge into Woodstock, often described as the prettiest village in America and renowned for its Colonial-era architecture, beautiful village green, many enticing shops and galleries, and the fascinating Billings Farm and Museum. On Sunday we take a beautiful ride south along Kedron Brook passing through picturesque South Woodstock and visiting its country store before arriving at a vista overlooking the Jenne Farm, possibly one of the most photographed scenes in New England.
