Cycling through the Flinders Ranges and Outback, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were navigating the unexplored face of Mars. Towering ancient cliffs and deep craters border dusty red roads.
This road, track, and trail tour starts and finishes in Port Augusta and showcases some of South Australia’s most rewarding experiences along the way. Route options are available for roadies, gravelleurs and mountain bikers. The main route is on sealed roads however, on most days there will be the opportunity for you to get off the bitumen and ride the rough stuff, if you’re that way inclined.
The rugged, weathered peaks and rocky gorges of the Flinders Ranges in outback South Australia form some of the country's most dramatic and beautiful landscapes. It's a place rich in Aboriginal history and home to a vast array of wildlife. Following the scenic roads, tracks, and walking trails that crisscross this wild countryside will take you on a remarkable adventure.
