Launched only 5 years ago, it has reached a global audience and is now ranked by many independent sources as one of the best and most iconic road trips on the planet.
Bringing together a route of just over 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery, the NC500 follows the coastal edges of the North Highlands of Scotland, taking in the regions of Wester Ross, Sutherland, Caithness, Easter Ross, the Black Isle and Inverness-Shire. Our tour, which begins and ends in Inverness, runs clockwise to exploit the more favourable prevailing winds on the exposed western and northern coasts and runs over 8 days at a very manageable 65 miles per day average.
