Wheelie Fantastic Cycle Tours
If you want to explore the area using the cycle trail and maybe some other cycling routes too and you enjoy planning your adventure but would like a little bit of help, then the Tasman Explorer is what you need.It is aimed at the experienced cyclist who likes to be a bit more independant. We can help you follow routes that bring the total tour distance to 200-300kms using The Great Taste Trail and Tasman backroads. You could choose to stay with The Great Taste Trail and cover just over 170kms. In our opinion, some of the best cycling routes are on the back roads, just off the cycle trail.
This way of exploring the area is very different to our other tours. Using our local knowledge ( as a local tour operator, but especially as locals who are cyclists), we give you the building blocks ( route ideas and accommodation options) to build your own tour. We provide the basic logitsics to make it work. You won’t get the degree of itinerary organisation or booking services that are included in our other tours, but we will offer advice and provide information for you to be able to plan your cycle tour. We will meet you at your choosen start point and get you set up with your bikes before you cycle off on your adventure. It will be the same as other tours, in that, you will have the support of the Wheelie team, should you need to contact us or need any assistance during your tour.
