Tour operator:  We Bike Tuscany

Okay, let's get this straight from the start -- you're a foodie before you're a biker (if not, you may wish to consider one of our other tours). If also, perhaps, you enjoy a little opera, maybe some classical music, this is definitely the trip for you.

Completely unique and off the beaten path (bike tour-wise), we can promise you won't find this tour elsewhere (at least that we know of). Designed several years ago for longtime repeat clients looking for easy biking combined with "extreme dining," it was such a hit with them they brought friends and repeated it the following summer. And the summer after that. At their urging, we at last decided to add it to our offerings for other such like-minded folk.

Cruising at a leisurely pace (or not, it's still up to you) on uncharacteristically (for Italy) flat bike paths (we're talking pizza flat) and country roads, you can relax completely and enjoy the serene, peaceful countryside of the Po River Valley and the most enchanting towns and villages of Emilia Romagna. This while pondering your next dish of handmade tortellini or fresh tagliatelle with a Bolognese or fresh pomodoro sauce to die for. Maybe that eggplant parmigiana you had last night that was like none you ever tasted? Here the pace is slow, life is simple and food is (almost) everything. You are in the land of Italian gastronomy at its finest and we have searched out the best for your discriminating palate. And oh, yes - music is also a way of life here, as these are "i posti di Verdi," the icon Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi's places. Where he was born, lived most of his life and where he took inspiration for his immortal opera masterpieces. If you also are now inspired, please read on...
