Ronda is a beautiful city, famous for its three historic bridges, steeped in history and generally regarded as the birthplace of modern bullfighting.

It's difficult to think of anywhere more Spanish and it’s difficult to think of anywhere more ideally situated for a centre based week of riding the Spanish terrain.

Ronda is a Spanish gem, surrounded by stunning mountain ranges. It boasts a wealth of fantastic loop rides which meander through chestnut clad hillsides and dotted with ancient white villages which lead us to some of the more challenging passes in the area - such as Puerto de Las Palomas.

The area is a road cycling paradise with miles of smooth surfaces and largely traffic free roads on which we will explore the Guadiaro Valley, the stunning limestone mountains of Grazalema and the Parque Natural Sierra de las Nieves. Throw in one of the best climates in Europe, lashings of fantastic home cooked Andalucian food, beautiful, peaceful accommodation close to Ronda and a generous sprinkling of Skedaddleness and we reckon you’re definitely in for a cycling treat!

With guided tours scheduled in March and November, the Roads of Ronda tour is an excellent option for riders looking for a little early or late season cycling in the sunshine and the perfect way to kickstart your road cycling season.

Highlights

  • Staying in the quintessentially Spanish town of Old Ronda
  • Cycling through the rugged, ‘bandit country’ of the Sierra de las Nieves
  • Climbing the 1,200m up ‘The Colossus’
  • The seemingly never-ending descent down to the fine sands of Estepona
  • Taking a refreshing post ride dip in the Med
  • Tasty tapas and sunset sangrias

A 100% tarmac route entirely suitable for racing style road bikes. The route is varied and includes some significant climbs and a number of long and occasionally technical switchback descents.
