This lovely self-guided cycling holiday in France combines beautiful Provence landscapes with historical towns and cities and has a distinctly Roman feel to it.

Your cycling takes you from the town of Orange through St Laurent, past the famous aqueduct, Pont de Gard to Avignon. Plenty of time to savour wines from the famous vineyards you'll be cycling past, including Côte du Rhône and Les Baux. You'll visit the romantic town of St Rémy, famous for its aromas of wild herbs. Van Gogh lived in St Rémy and along with the wonderful surrounding landscape in the shadow of the Alpilles you'll see what provided the inspiration for many of his paintings.

Cycling southwards towards the Mediterranean the route will take you through Arles, perched on the Rhone with its well preserved amphitheatre. You'll pass countless medieval and Roman monuments and through the protected region of the Camargue, home of the wild white horses and an array of exotic wildlife, providing a memorable finale to your cycling holiday.

Our French cycling holidays are all about good food, comfortable accommodation and beautiful cycling routes which create a memorable cycling holiday experience. You'll stay in carefully selected small 2 and 3 star hotels and guesthouses and a warm welcome will greet you each evening, offering a little luxury after a day in the saddle.
