Slowly make your way to Koblenz and celebrate your week with a glass of regional Riesling

A beautiful, self-guided cycling holiday through Germany's sleepy Moselle Valley. You'll be biking along winding, riverside paths and taking in breathtaking natural landscapes, with numerous vineyards to explore along the way. For the majority of the route you will find yourself cycling along smooth and flat cycle paths, with the terrain remaining mostly flat. This is a laid back route, so you can take your time cycling each day and really appreciate the many treasures this valley has to offer.

Starting in Trier (Germany's oldest town) you will follow the beautiful, winding Moselle river right the way through to Koblenz. Fairytale castles and charming villages will form the backdrop for your ride. Local wine producers will charm you with their tasty, local wines and you'll pass through Neumagen-Dhron, Germany's oldest wine village and through Treis-Karden where you can organise a spot of wine tasting.

You will follow the river downstream, gently making your way to Koblenz. Located on the confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine rivers, Koblenz is another of Germany's oldest and most beautiful cities with over 2000 years of history to discover. With spectacular castles, churches and grand townhouses scattered amongst its romantic, cobbled streets, it's a great place to spend a couple of days!
