Pedal Nation Cycling Holidays

It's all about the journey

They are an Independent Cycle Tour Operator based in Sheffield, UK and organise various levels of cycling holidays in UK, Europe and further afield.

They offer small groups and personalised service. All trips are fully bonded and financially protected with ATOL and ABTOT.

We like to think we are a little different.

The ethos that drives Pedal Nation was born after speaking to a number of newcomers to cycling and finding that many said they felt a little intimidated by all the technical clothing, equipment, energy gels and the fast riding style that appeared to be necessary requirement of a cycle tour. To roll with Pedal Nation you don’t need to ride the most expensive bike, to be super fit, or have the hill climbing ability of Alberto Contador. We encourage the slow coaches, the cyclists who push up the steepest hills, the cyclists who lie down next to a Lake District tarn on a sunny day, the ones who stay too long in the cafe, the riders who get to the B&B late because they’ve been taking photographs of a gorgeous sunset. That said we have some ‘hard’ grade trips that will test your stamina and hill climbing ability but even on those you will be encouraged to ride at your own pace and be supported all the way.

On all our trips you will have a cycling guide (sometimes 2) and a support vehicle to carry luggage and meet up during the day to top up water bottles, provide snacks etc. The trip cost includes accommodation in comfortable hotels and guesthouses and is on a twin share basis. Single rooms are usually available on payment of a supplement. Breakfast and lunches are included but you pay for evening meals which are usually eaten communally. For those with Garmins or similar you will be given GPX files of your route.
