The region Franche-Comté in the eastern part of France is rich of cultural and natural heritage. The beautiful city of Besançon with its famous bastille, constructed by Vauban, is even on the World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is embedded in a river loop of the Doub river. Many small towns in the Comté region have a very rich heritage of historic treasures. But the actual reason to go on this trip is definitely the beautiful nature and the marvellous river landscapes between the Saône and the Doubs. The peaceful cycle path EuroVelo 6 is part of this cycling trip. This holiday is also a highlight for every foodie. The Franche-Comté is famous for its delicious cheese and its tasty wine.

The Normandy is known for gastronomical highlights such as Cider, Calvados and Camembert, for fabulous cities and monuments, but also for its breathtaking and scenic variety. We catcher them and present them to you on our cycling trip. It leads us gregariously from east to west and back again. From the festinating world metropole Paris, the Seine is flowing across the Normandy, through mighty valley cuts and wide loops to the English Channel. Already impressionist artists were fascinated by the capital of Normandy, Rouen, with its half-timbered houses, the ruins of the Jumièges, the Alabaster coast and the beaches of Deauville. Historically still very present: the landing beaches and the D-day.

Route characteristics: Side roads, agricultural road, partly cycling paths, no long hilly parts but from time to time.

Grade: Easy terrain, just on day 3 easy but long climb from Savigny. Asphalted side routs, agricultural roads and cycling paths.

On this guided cycling and sailing trip the impressive scenery of the Corsican mountains and the crystal blue sea surround you every day. During the day you discover the breath-taking island of Corsica by bike and in the afternoon, you enjoy your time on the catamaran where you will be spoiled by the private cook. While sailing on the Mediterranean Sea you enjoy a different perspective on the island and have the possibility to jump into the refreshing sea.

Grade: Some parts are easy to cycle, others are steeper. Cycling on cycle paths and small and calm routes.

On this bike tour, relaxed cycling is guaranteed. On well-constructed cycling paths, you cycle along the Somme River in the north of France. Spectacular nature is welcoming you on your arrival at the Bay of the Somme. It is among the world’s most beautiful bays and home to many seals. Grades: Easy and relaxed cycling along the canal and the coast, mainly on cycling paths. Flat terrain inland, on small roads and on cycling paths.

The Atlantic coast is a paradise for cyclists. You will discover the fantastic coast and it’s marvelous sandy beaches, and ride along cycle paths through quiet pine forests. This is a charming region full of history and wonderful landmarks along the Atlantic Ocean.

Grade: Mainly on cycling paths, quiet secondary roads, always asphalted, very few traffic on the streets.

Discover the Véloscenie, a superb cycle route from Versailles to Mont Saint Michel, going through Maintenon in Chartres with its Cathédrale de lumières. You will enjoy cycling in forests and in the norman countryside, with the Thermes de Bagnoles de l’Orne and the majestic Mont Saint Michel at the end of your tour. This itinerary is an excellent combination between culture and nature.

Grade: The main part of the tour takes place on plains, so it is flat. Some easy rises in the villages on secondary roads.
