This exciting cycle challenge takes us through three countries and over the Tatra Mountains!

From striking Budapest, the capital of Hungary on the famous River Danube, we head north on flat roads to the border with Slovakia. We ride through beautiful landscapes of plains, forests and lakes, the terrain getting progressively hillier before reaching the slopes of the Tatra Mountains, taking us over 1000m high. This creates perfect preparation for the highest passes, and makes the trip very achievable for cyclists who are new to mountainous terrain. En-route we pass traditional farming villages, and towns with beautiful well-preserved medieval buildings, gaining a great insight into the history and culture of these fascinating countries. Once the mountains are behind us, its predominantly downhill to Krakow, the cultural capital of Poland.
