THE GREAT MOUNT TEIDE CHALLENGE
Image supplied by Cycling Tenerife
The Mount Teide Challenge Sea level to 2350 meters to the cable car is for only the most competent cyclist. Cycling over 100km of which 60km is uphill and takes over 7 hours to complete depending on your level of fitness Make no mistake this is a full day in the saddle. So what's the advantage of being on tour with us compared to doing it on my own I hear you say?Quite simple all you do is enjoy the scenery and the riding and leave the rest up to us. Eliminate all the stress and worries about being in a foreign country just follow on and enjoy the wonderful sights to be seen here in Tenerife. No need to carry maps and wonder have you taken the correct road, having to stop at every round about or junction or if I go that way can I get back. What is the climb like and how far is it.The tours are carried out with you in mind and are never on a fixed route unless stated. We know most of the short cuts, the roads to go up and the roads not to come down on. They don't put that on a road map. Or a Satellite navigation system. Well not to my knowledge as of yet.
