We make Asheville our home on the beginning evening, then spend 3 nights in Brevard and 2 in the highlands, Lake Toxaway and Balsam Grove areas before cycling back toward Asheville.
Few things in the natural world are as awe-inspiring as the sight of water pouring off the side of a high stone ledge and clamoring into a rocky pool beneath. While this area around Brevard is known for it's world class mountain biking. Brevard is ground zero for some of the best riding in the nation. Long-time resident and retired road cyclist, George Hincapie has spent years training on the challenging climbs and exhilarating descents of the county’s epic country roads.
