A Return To Kindness & Ancient Traditions

Moldova and Bucovina stand out as two of Romania’s culturally and traditionally rich regions. These enchanting areas boast UNESCO heritage sites, ancient crafts, and stunning landscapes. The local gastronomy is diverse, influenced by various regional flavors.

Embark on an 8-day journey exploring the primary painted monasteries, traditional arts and crafts workshops, and the picturesque landscapes of deep forests and serene hills. The name “Bucovina,” meaning the land of beech trees, still holds true to the region’s character.

Nestled in valleys among the forests near the Ukrainian border, the painted monasteries of Bucovina are Europe’s hidden gems. Founded mostly in the 1500s, these monasteries are not merely monuments but thriving religious communities. What sets them apart are the frescoes adorning their exterior walls, a unique feature best discovered by bike amid the charming surroundings of woods and fields.

While the Neamt monasteries may not be renowned for their external frescoes, they are distinguished by their vibrant spiritual life and scenic beauty.
