Did you know Madrid is the greenest capital in Europe? For 3 hours we’ll explore the Parque del Oeste, the Manzanares River, and Casa de Campo - one of the largest public parks in the world, all on cycle paths. Our guides will talk you through the parks’ history, from beginnings as royal hunting grounds, to its use as a front line during the Spanish Civil War. You’ll also visit the resting place of a legendary Spanish artist Goya and see an impressive church with ceilings painted by him. This tour is great for kids as it doesn’t cross the city centre or use busy roads.

It is the country’s heart and soul, full of enduring traditions and mysteries. From vineyards and olive groves to the breathless beauty of the Alhambra, this is an opportunity to experience a unique and timeless culture.

Our tour takes you through the cities of Cordoba, Sevilla, and Granada. The route is broken down into easy, manageable sections, with minibus transfers to each start point. Between cities, we take advantage of country roads and disused railway lines, which are ideal for cycling. Once inside the cities, we’ll visit ancient UNESCO treasures, such as the Alhambra in Granada, the Mosque in Cordoba, and the Alcazar in Sevilla. And, naturally, feast on as much delicious local cuisine and wine as possible.

Accommodation is split between luxurious 4-star hotels and charming village guest-houses. We’ll arrange everything you need to make this a truly unforgettable cycling adventure.

Join us on a guided tour through two of the most beautiful towns in the Madrid area. The tour starts at our office in Madrid, we’ll take the metro to Arganda. From there we bicycle to Chinchón. Our guide will take you on a ride through the winding streets of this unique, medieval town. There’ll be time for a few stops, including a visit to the 16th-century castle with stunning views stretching all the way to Madrid.

After a ride along the gorgeous River Tagus, we’ll arrive in Aranjuez. Next, we’ll head to the spectacular Royal Palace. We’ll spend time exploring its eclectic mix of architectural styles, as well as its luscious gardens, before heading back to Madrid by train.

From the 15th to the 17th century, the Spanish Empire was built on the massive colonisation of the New World. Unimaginable riches were plundered and used to lay the foundations of Spain as we know it today. On this tour, you’ll follow in the footsteps of the conquistadors, those courageous and cruel explorers who built an empire on which the sun never set.

Often overlooked, this region boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country. Our guides will take you along dramatic mountain ranges and through sun-drenched plains as you trace the history of Spain’s colonial expansion. Stopping off at various cities and towns, you’ll see the palaces and mansions built with the new-found riches of the Americas. There are also stops in Toledo and Madrid, where you’ll visit all of the best historical landmarks and sights. As with all our longer tours, the accommodation provided is be a mix of luxury hotels, and charming, rural guest-houses.

The tour starts at our office in Madrid. We’ll take a train and you’ll have a chance to explore the 16th-century monastery and its vast collection of priceless paintings. We’ll spend the rest of the day riding through the surrounding countryside. It’s a beautiful route along the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama, and we’ll stop along the way for a delicious three-course lunch (optional). The day ends with another leisurely cycle through some quaint local villages, before we head back to Madrid.

We’ll guide you along the mountain-capped Sierra de Gaudarrama, stopping off at medieval villages to sample the cuisine and the culture of this unique region of Spain. The surrounding countryside is a biker’s dream, with rolling pastures and meadows. At every bend, there’s some castle or fairy-tale palace to explore, and our guides will fill you in on all the weird and wonderful history. Aside from the rural delights, we’ll also have the chance to explore the ancient city of Segovia, with its mind-blowing Roman aqueduct; and El Escorial, a royal site that has served as monastery, palace, basilica, church, mausoleum, and home to Spain’s ruling dynasties. The trip ends with a weekend in Madrid, full of the tapas and nightlife that have made the capital so famous.

The route takes you on the recently inaugurated cycle path past places like the Royal Palace and Retiro Park, as well as popular landmarks like the Alcalá Gate and neighborhoods like the Golden Triangle of art museums, UNESCO heritage sites. Cycling through the historic city centre you can take in some off the beaten track gems and great pieces of street art. We’ll appreciate the lovely atmosphere of the city, like true madrileños, and you can enjoy your leisurely bike ride in total relaxation and safety. We start our bike tours from our office in the center of the city near Plaza de España. Families with younger kids may consider booking a Parks and river tour instead of the city tour, as there’s less traffic.

You’ll get to witness the austerity of the Habsburg kings, as well as the ostentatious style of the Bourbons, and see where they lived, prayed, and were buried. The trip ends with a weekend of tapas and nightlife in Madrid.

Nowadays the journey is made for secular reasons as well, all you need is curiosity and a desire for time spent in nature.

As the oldest, most celebrated and most frequented route in Europe, it’s no wonder the Camino de Santiago is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Route. The various paths of the Camino traverse many regions of northern Spain, including Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla y León and Galicia. Some routes venture further north along the coast, through País Vasco, Cantabria and Asturias. Every stage provides views of breathtaking landscapes, from the vineyards of La Rioja to the lush, green mountainous scenery found further west.
