Biking Between History and Sea

This bike tour is designed for those who want to taste a little bit of everything the culture and history of Italy and Sardinia as to offer. Starting from Oristano you'll visit the ruins of two ancient cities: Tharros, built by the Carthaginians and brought to blooming by the Romans, and the site of Barumini, called 'Su Nuraxi', a UNESCO World heritage site. You will walk on the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, and ride along ponds and lagoons where you'll meet on your way the beautiful pink flamingos, all enclosed in the beautiful Sinis Peninsula. You'll ride in Costa Verde (Green Coast) where sea and land meet to create the most beautiful breathtaking scenery of Sardinia and Italy. The streets are almost always devoid of traffic, they are well paved and the people are really friendly, and they will make you enjoy the extraordinary culinary delights of the region. The cities where you are going to stay are full of history and walking in the streets will be as exciting as living in the Italian Middle Ages.
