Australian Cycle Tours
The Great Victoria Rail Trail is Australia’s longest rail trail which passes through charming towns and diverse countryside. A dedicated cycle way along the trail meanders next to the heritage classified Goulburn River. The trail crosses Lake Eildon into the Trawool Valley and passes through Australia’s longest rail trail tunnel at Cheviot. Each day you’ll take in the stunning views of majestic valleys, lakes, rivers and mountains and each evening you can enjoy the local atmosphere and food at iconic country Victorian towns. Starting in Mansfield you’ll traverse rolling farmland, explore historic villages and landmarks, enjoy panoramic views over the Alpine region, cycle alongside the Goulburn river and through the beautiful Trawool Valley, before ending the ride in Tallarook. This cycle journey opens up a whole new way to appreciate the natural beauty of regional Australia.
