Bike Hike and Paddle Northern Tasmania

5 Days Easy-Moderate

The North West tip of Tasmania is home to the world's freshest air, intact cool temperate rainforests, some of Australia's wildest coastline and historic remnants of the regions original settler influence. It's also a corner that few take the time to enjoy and anyone who has travelled here would agree it is Tasmania's forgotten gem. The variety this multi activity itinerary offers is evident from day one with superb rides taking in views of the Great Western Tiers and a descent into Sheffield, 'The Town of Murals'. During the tour you'll also enjoy a Hobie kayak trip down the Forth River, explore the depths of the Leven Canyon, visit glow worm caves and head to Wild Wings Wildlife Park to view some unique Tasmanian wildlife. At Rocky Cape National Park we'll take some short walks showcasing views over Bass Strait. Back in the saddle, take a ride past the regions rich agricultural landscape back towards the rugged coastline where you can climb Stanley's famous Nut and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Northwest's remarkable coastline. Cap off this fine journey with a trip to explore the northern tip of the majestic Tarkine region, home to the hemispheres largest continuous temperate rainforest.
