Great Victorian Rail Trail Bike to Bridge

Ride the Great Victorian Rail Trail from Mansfield to Bonnie Doon (22 km) at your own pace through scenic farmland, take time to stop and take photos. As you cross the Bonnie Doon Bridge you will see Lake Eildon in all its glory. Make your way into the township where you will find the Bonnie Bar, General Store and cafes to enjoy a refreshing lunch or picnic along the waterfront. The ATC Joyrider Van will pick you up at 2pm from the front of the General Store and return you to Mansfield.

Mostly flat, one slight hill toward Bonnie Doon. Features the 385 m long bridge over the Brankeet Arm of Lake Eildon, a real sight when there is plenty of water. Approaching Mansfield on a clear day, Mt Buller is clearly visible in the distance, a real treat when covered in snow. The trail surface along this section of the rail trail is chert, other sections which are shared with horse riders is granitic sand.
