Description

With your tour group limited to 12 to 14 cyclists, each ride will travel deep into the Brandywine Valley through miles of preserved land, heavily wooded areas, along horse farms and branches of the Brandywine River. Weíll also slip into Delawareís Chateau Country, land originally owned by the DuPont family, much of which is as bucolic today as it was 200 years ago.Saturdayís ride offers a beautiful route on rolling terrain with lots of tree cover. The August trip features the Mike Clark Memorial Ride on Saturday, once included in Bicycling Magazineís list of Top Ten Rides in America and typically attracting 300 cyclists. You can pick from four intersecting routes depending on your interests, energy and fitness level.Septemberís trip offers similar routes but with just our group riding.Sundayís ride is a shorter loop of 25-30 miles that can take us by Longwood Gardens or the Brandywine River (Art) Museum.Rides will be fully supported with a sag wagon support van. Still, participants should make sure that their bike is in outstanding working order.
