The French Way is the Jacobean itinerary with the greatest historical tradition (the main Ways of the Way were described towards 1135 in the Codex Calixtinus, fundamental book Jacobeo). Its layout through the north of the Iberian Peninsula complained fixed at the end of the eleventh century.
A road that starts in France, crosses the Pyrenees and crosses the Iberian Peninsula from east to west, accessing Galicia for the legendary rise to O Cebreiro.
Since the discovery of the tomb of the Apostle James, many people moved
for mercy, they decided to travel to Santiago de Compostela to visit the holy remains. A tour of great artistic and scenic wealth that welcomes pilgrims of up to 150 different countries.
Declared World Heritage by UNESCO and considered the main street of Europe, in1987 was named the first European cultural itinerary thanks to its environmental and samples of the best European Romanesque and Gothic art.
