We open the tour with a welcoming ‘aperitivo’ and a presentation of the program. Dinner.

We start with a trip to Ansedonia. We enter the beautiful Pineta Feniglia (umbrella pine forest) and coast the Orbetello lagoon, the last of the remaining Tuscan coastal lakes. From the sighting points, with a bit of luck, we will see the Black-winged Stilt, red long legs and black wings, the Grey heron or Cormorant. We continue to the archaeological excavations of the city of Cosa, with its cyclopean walls and ruins of the Roman temple that once dominated the sea from above the promontory. We return along the coast to visit the monument to the painter Caravaggio, who died nearby in 1610. Between pasturing fawn and pine trees we find traces of human settlements dating back to the first Age of Iron. Our next step is the visit of Orbetello.

The second leg of our journey takes us to the Convent of the Passionist Fathers, for a scenic hike on the peninsula of Monte Argentario. The road rises gently between the vegetation and the peaceful nature that pervades us. After the Convent we continue to admire the scenery from the top and descend at ease along a panoramic trail.

In the morning we set off to the island of Giglio. We load the bikes on the ferry and set sail to an enchanting place. Rock formations protruding from the sea in the most bizarre forms and the pink color of the rock takes us an ancient time. Coves and creeks, trails and balsamic scents, the silence of nature, the sea that surrounds us. Four marvellous days to discover one of the pearls of the Mediterranean. Walking through the medieval alleys of Giglio Castello, cycling towards the lighthouse and down the coves at Punta Capel Rosso will become an unforgettable experience.

From Island of Giglio we sail for an excursion to the Isle of Giannutri that treasures one of the most prestigious seaside villas of the Roman age. A day to discover this island wondering through beaches, Roman ruins and unforgettable sunsets.

We say goodbye after the ferry crossing that will take us from the island of Giglio to Porto Santo Stefano in the mainland.
