Rome Bike Tour: Appian Way

3 Hours Moderate 15 Km

Our tour is tailor-made for everyone who would like to immerse himself in nature and, on the other hand, in 3000 years of history. A journey is not only a matter of sounds, sights or tastes, but even of touch and a mix of all our senses. That’s why we will give you the chance to immerse yourselves into the "Regina Viarum" history touching the stones and the thousand years old walls, or the cobblestone of the Appian Way. Your bike experience inside the ancient history of Rome will start by riding a comfortable trekking bike, guided by an expert tour leader that will lead you to discover a fascinating world, full of ancient monuments and lush natural beauty. The starting point is situated a few steps from the Colosseum, from there you will reach the ruins of Caracalla's Thermal Baths and, after crossing the Aurelian Walls you will immerse yourself in the quiet atmosphere of the Roman countryside to reach the Ancient Appian Way. Passing by St. Callisto and St. Sebastiano Catacombs; the ruins of Circus of Massenzio, and the mausoleum Tomb of Cecilia Metella. Before cycling back you will admire the ruins of the archaeological site of Capo di Bove.
