MTB Tours

This fantastic MTB Tour is truly done in the heart of the Andes in Patagonia. Without crossing the border to Chile but riding very near to it, we use almost forgotten paths and gravel roads for our tour. These are hardly kept 'alive' and we get to know one of the most beautiful places in Argentina. This ride will take us along the 'Barrancas' river in the first three days, going up to 9.000ft. Then it take us to Varvarco Andean and pristine lagoon. It will make us ride by Domuyo mtn. the highest in Patagonia (15.000ft) and enjoy the thermal waters coming from underneath. Therefore will let us enjoy the only geysers in Argentinean Andes! It's a demanding ride as we gather more tan 12.000ft elevation gain in the first three days. Landscapes and views will pay by far the effort giving back a great experience.

Our trip in Uruguay has that air of old days. We propose to make ballast tracks (ground conchilla) without much difficulty through soft blades. Cycling without hurry through green fields with remnants of the history of the Rio de la Plata. Knowing the wineries and vineyards, visiting Colonia, visiting this part of Uruguay by bike and on foot, even photographing it is a worthwhile experience.

Cycling in Bahia coconuts palm coast (Costa dos Coqueiros) is absolutely fantastic. The natural beauty can be noticed by the pristine rivers, springs, beaches and waterfalls and when getting into the forest, by the native flora and fauna.The particular Bahia cuisine in north of Brazil, the architecture and the local handicrafts will complete an outstanding experience. And all of this can be done on a bike!

The coconut palms are the symbol of shade and fresh water, and they stretch all over 115 miles, from 'Mangue Seco' to Praia do Forte, in the north extreme of Bahia's coastline.

Most of the ride is done in the beach during the low tide, and the rest is done on gravel roads and in the last day we'll follow the 'Green line' the first ecologic road that links Salvador de Bahia with Praia do Forte.This is a different tour: A pure independent cycle tour, where everybody will carry its own luggage in panniers.

This tour is a wonderful introduction to the Andean Altiplano, or Puna, as the vast region below the High Andes in Salta is known. In Jujuy is located the Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca Canyon), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the most amazing places of the Altiplano. The southern reaches of the Inca Trail once ran through here. It later became part of the Spanish Royal Road that stretched from Peru down to Salta and then to Buenos Aires in colonial times. You'll intimately explore towns like Purmamarca and Iruya. Still have the traditional narrow, cobble-stoned streets and adobe homes. Still inhabited by the descendants of the once-mighty Inca. Below the Puna lie the Yungas.This is a long, thin belt of sub-tropical jungle coming north from Bolivia, fed by the waters of the High Andes. Lush, green rainforests with incredible varieties of plants and amazing birdlife. The contrast from the arid desert landscapes above, add much impact to this beautiful scenery. The region also provides an incredible setting for mountain biking, a marvelous way to deeply experience this amazing destination.
