Leaving from the beautiful beach town of Manhattan Beach, CA, the tour heads East towards Revere Beach in Boston, MA. As you settle into a first day pace, filled with excitement, the newness jitters of tour are worked out and the how-to’s of tour are answered. As each day passes you become stronger as an endurance rider.

Through the desert of California and the high-desert of Arizona, across the Continental Divide and into New Mexico, leaving Arizona a distant memory, the tour pedals on ticking off an average 79 miles per day.

Pedaling eastward through Texas and Oklahoma, the landscape becomes green with life in Kansas where the growing season is well underway. Onward through Missouri, crossing the mighty Mississippi River into Illinois after a well earned fourth (of five) rest day in Champaign, IL. With six states to go, plans are made by groups of riders to visit Niagara Falls on the next rest day in Erie, Pennsylvania, after passing through the beautiful landscapes of Ohio. Just you and your bike, free to ride through the day!

New York State is next on the agenda before finishing up your sea-to-sea adventure-by-bike across America. From Albany, NY, the tour continues East as it heads directly across Vermont, through New Hampshire to Massachusetts and on to Revere Beach in Boston.

The BIG DREAM begins on the edge of the sea, travels east across America and ends forty nine days later at the sea.  In between, forty-three riding days, five rest days, and memories held only by those who dare to DREAM BIG.

From the Palm Trees of Southern California, through the California desert and into the high desert of Arizona, this tour is diverse in both landscape and cycling opportunities. Pedaling on bike trails and bike specific roadways out of the Los Angeles basin, the tour heads through the desert for an unparalleled cycling experience. After enjoying the magnitude and red rock glory of Sedona, as you pedal up the mountain toward Flagstaff, Arizona, you might want to use your rest day to tour the Grand Canyon on your own.  Moving on, the tour reaches 7275′ cresting the Continental Divide.  Crossing the Rio Grande provides the perfect photo opportunity to document this amazing regional tour.

Sixteen days of diverse landscape with one rest day in the middle can satisfy the cyclist who wants a taste of it all, but can’t manage the time (this year) to ride the entire Sea to Sea tour. This regional tour travels through amazing vistas on the way to Tucumcari, NM and then past more cows than you can imagine on the way to Dalhart, TX. Visit Dorothy’s house in Liberal, KS, where the corn is growing and bright green – in shocking contrast to the desert.  Eat a buffalo burger in McPherson, visit Eisenhower’s boyhood home in Abilene, and enjoy the Greyhound Hall of Fame right across the street.  On your well-earned rest day, head east again, crossing the Mississippi River on the way to Champaign, IL.  Passing small town cafes on Hisoric Rt. 66, this tour is ideal as you discover the beauty of the United States.

With thoughts of the Atlantic Ocean only fifteen days away, take in the sights through Indiana and Ohio as you head towards a rest day on Lake Erie in Pennsylvania. Pass quaint Amish homesteads, see beautiful gardens, lush green lawns, and enjoy the slower pace of life evident even from your bike seat. Arriving in Erie, enjoy a day lake-side in beautiful accommodations, or take a ride to the beach (or take a water taxi) where you will enjoy the lush park, sand, and even sea shells. Then on to Boston we go, leaving Erie, PA for New York State with fantastic views, waterfalls and lakes, covered bridges and unique places to eat and shop.

From Troy, NY, the tour pedals east as it heads across Vermont and through New Hampshire to Massachusetts on to Revere Beach.  You have arrived, so let the celebration begin!
