Description

We begin in the lush Constantia Wine Valley where we step back in time and trace the history of viniculture in South Africa by visiting the country's first wine estates. We meander through the rolling vineyards on bicycle, learning first hand about various vintages, enjoying private wine tastings with expert sommeliers and gourmet picnics under shaded oak trees, all the while framed beneath the mighty Table Mountain. Our next two days are spent further afield, making our way out of Cape Town to the world-renowned vineyards of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. We enjoy a guided cycle through the Paarl valley, visiting the dramatic Taal Monument to the Afrikaans language, the awe-inspiring Paarl Rock and Nature Reserve - and we top it off with a signature cheese and wine tasting at two stunning wine farms overlooking the valley!
