Description
This November, do something extraordinary. Challenge yourself in the 'Land of a Thousand Hills' on an epic cycling journey covering 285 kilometres through some of Africa's most beguiling and awe-inspiring landscapes and in doing so, support the work of the Rwanda Cricket Stadium Foundation (RCSF). Travelling on dirt roads, tracks and tarmac, witness the Rwanda very few tourists get to experience as you ride with expert international and local guides through tea plantations, lush green hills dotted with freshwater lakes and along the base of Volcanoes National Park bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo. To top off an incredible week, spend a day trekking into thick jungle to see some of the last remaining mountain gorillas on the planet. Nicknamed the 'Land of a Thousand Hills,' Rwanda doesn't do 'flat' meaning this challenge will offer not only incredible views around every corner, but a serious test of fitness and endurance with daily climbs in excess of 1,000 metres. This epic challenge will come to an end back in Kigali where you will have a chance to witness the work being done by the RCSF and, if you're keen, a game of cricket with some of Rwanda's best cricketers.
