Bike Tours at Mont Ventoux

Some say Mont Ventoux is the hardest of all the mythical Tour de France climbs and rightly so. As the name might suggest (vent means wind in French), it can get windy at the summit, the mistral blows with wind speeds as high as 320 km/h (200 mph) and at 90+ km/h 240 days a year. Rising to almost 2,000 metres the road over the mountain is often closed due to high winds.
