Languedoc is a historical region (now part of Occitanie) on the central south Mediterranean coast of France - between Spain (and Andorra) to the south, Provence to the east and the mountainous Massif Central to the north. The climate allows for cycling year round round, though April to October is the best time. It is less touristy than much of the south of France - except in August, which is best avoided if possible.
