Bike & Sail

Tel Aviv by bike and boat

2 Days Easy Reviews

Experience the fun of the city and sea with our Bike & Sail Tel Aviv program. Start off with a 2 hour sightseeing ride through the city where you will be expertly guided through the historical and cultural landmarks of Tel Aviv.
As you head to Jaffa Port, you can stop for a snack along the way in one of the famous restaurants or bakeries of the area.
Then it’s time to swap your wheels for your sea legs, and embark on a Mediterranean cruise. With your own private yacht and skipper you will sail along the beautiful coast on a 2 hour journey of relaxation.
Back on dry land, you will hop back on your bikes to conclude your tour. A great activity for all the family.

Having been to Israel a few times we wanted to have a different experience in this wonderful country. We made contact with Amir at Gordon Active, who arranged a four day bike ride, the first two by ourselves, and then a guided tour of Tel Aviv and then Jerusalem.

The first two days were fantastic, using a smart phone and maps supplied, we rode from Mt Carmel, near Haifa, to Caesarea, stayed at the Dan (arranged by Amir), and the following day rode to Tel Aviv, with a short train trip included to avoid an industrial area. We both just loved it, and you don't have to be a strong rider to both do and enjoy this experience.

On the third day we had a guided tour of Tel Aviv. Very easy riding with lots a dedicated bike paths. Only use a guide if you want information about this great city, otherwise it is easy to find your way around yourself. We stayed at the Alexander Suits (also arranged by Amir) which are well located, but need to finish their renovations.

On our last day, we were driven to Jerusalem to do a city bike ride. We know Jerusalem somewhat, but Ofer gave us a new and interesting perspective about this iconic city - a real treat.

We would recommend a bike trip in Israel with or without a guide. Amir and Jo were great and made sure that we were safe and happy throughout our adventure by contacting us every evening to ensure that everything was going to plan, which it did. Our only real complaint is that it was not long enough.
