Cinghiale Cycling Tours

The Cinghiale love affair with bella Italia goes back 25 years. Our founder, Andy Hampsten, first raced in Italy in 1985, relocated to Tuscany in ’94, led the first Cinghiale tour in ’98…and we’ve been wining, dining, and cycling ever since.

Over the years we’ve uncovered great riding in other two-wheeled paradises; wine country in Barolo, mountainous Corsica, the Rhone valley, and the picturesque passes of the Dolomites and French-Alps. You might have noticed our favorite cycling venues boast the world’s best food and wine, too!

Whether you’re hoping to tackle the towering Dolomites, pedal amongst the vineyards of the Rhone, or enjoy market day while your other half rides, we hope you’ll join our smiling crew and enjoy a little dolce vita–food, wine, and great cycling. Andiamo!
Their Tours

Cooking & Cycling

9 Days Moderate
Cooking and Cycling is one of our favorite tours. Why? Well, we get to ride our home-town roads around Castagneto, visit our best friends and favorite farms in the area, and we learn something every year from our chef, Chicca Maione. Food, riding, what else is there? Wine, that’s right! We’re ...

Chianti to Castagneto

9 Days Moderate
We’ll split the week in two amazing places in Tuscany—the interior of Chianti and the tranquil coastline of Castagneto Carducci. The roads are secluded and winding through vine-lined hills, chestnut forests and picturesque hill towns. We’ll enjoy the late summer weather on our bikes while ...

Dolomites: Italian Alps

10 Days Moderate-Advanced
These are the hardest, turniest, best roads we ride, period! The Dolomites offer long, demanding climbs and blissful descents, while towering limestone crags loom over the dozens of switchbacks we pedal…and at the end of each day we relax and enjoy the cuisine (and beer) of northern Italy’s ...

Giro della Basilicata

10 Days Moderate
For years we have been admitting that many of Italy’s best features remain in the south. Food being the most important. So, Cinghiale Tours is finally putting our tires and stomachs into the land we have long talked about. With the guidance of Enrico Caracciolo and il Barone Gerardo this past ...
